Happy Memorial Day with Nautical Nails

You got a sneak peek of my mani here and my pedi here so its no surprise what I’ve been sporting all week, but here’s a little more.

I wanted to do something different but I wasn’t very inspired.  After some google images searches I still wasn’t too inspired.  I knew I wanted to wear gold on my fingers and I knew alllacquredup.com did a great nautical flag manicure with last year’s China Glaze Anchor’s Away collection, so I took that idea and ran with it for my toes.

I have on the bright orange from my Julep intro box,  Natasha.  I then tapped off my big toe and did a diagonal block or Essie’s Midnight Cami, a sparkling deep navy.  I then used one of those Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen’s to do the line, which I can’t recall the shade right now but I have to say… eh.  They just don’t work as great as I want them to.  The flow isn’t even so I can never get the line to be how I want it, clean and precise.  However, it works for now.

For my mani, I used that same deep navy, Essie Midnight Cami,  as my accent nails.  I usually only do my ring, but I wanted a little extra impact this time.  The gold glitter on top is also from my Julep maven box, Oscar.  I did it in a gradient approach and I just loved how this color combo glittered in the sun with the dark navy base and bright gold glitter.  My regular gold polish used on the rest of my fingers is China Glaze High Tech.  I love this shade, its not to warm or cool and super metallic!  Check out how it looked with my arm party chillin’ at a weekend BBQ.

I’m of course wearing my Borrowed from The Boys Watch once again and my Cross Your Fingers Ring in gold both from mark.  The white bracelets I randomly found in my jewelry box and I think they’re from H&M years and years ago, but was pretty pleased I found them to wear with this weekend’s nautical looks!
